Helps treat dry skin. Almond oil has been used for centuries to treat dry skin conditions, including eczema and psoriasis.

Stearic acid is a versatile fatty acid that functions as an emollient, emulsifier, cleansing and texture-enhancing ingredient in skin care formulas. It has been shown to protect skin's surface against water loss and help shore up skin's protective barrier.

Glycerin is great for the skin because it acts as a humectant, which is a substance that allows the skin to retain moisture. It can increase skin hydration, relieve dryness, and refresh the skin's surface. It's also an emollient, which means it can soften skin.

Cetearyl alcohol is a fatty alcohol that can soften the skin and hair. It also plays a vital role in achieving the desired consistency of our products.

Softens the skin: As an emollient, it helps soften and smooth dry skin, which is why this is a choice ingredient for those with dry or flaky skin. In combination with other ingredients, Isopropyl Myristate assists in locking in moisture for lengthy periods of time.

Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax increases the residence time of natural emollients on the skin and helps provide a protective, moisture resistant environment for skin. It also acts as a natural binder for other ingredients.

High concentrations of fatty acids and vitamins make shea butter an ideal cosmetic ingredient for softening skin. Shea butter also has anti-inflammatory and healing properties.

Pro-vitamin B5 is a moisturiser, which can play an important role in keeping skin, hair and nails looking and feeling healthy. It can help to support a healthy skin barrier as well as preventing skin dryness, damage and irritation by maintaining its moisture and reducing water loss*

Used as a moisturizer to treat or prevent dry, rough, scaly, itchy skin and minor skin irritations (such as diaper rash, skin burns from radiation therapy). Emollients are substances that soften and moisturize the skin and decrease itching and flaking.

Glucose oxidase is an enzyme that catalyzes the oxidation of the sugar glucose to gluconic acid. In nature it is synthesized by several species of fungi and insects such as honeybees. This is the natural way in which we preserve our products without adding chemicals to extend expiration dates.

In skin care, lactoperoxidase's natural antimicrobial action helps restore skin's surface flora (its microbiome), leading to a healthier, more hydrated look and feel, and an improvement in pore function. 

This ingredient can be used as an emulsifier, aiding the mixing of water and oil ingredients by reducing their surface tension, and helping products hold together.

1-Dodecanol is a natural fatty alcohol that acts as a liquid conditioner, spreading agent and coupling agent.

Hemp seed oil decreases inflammation and irritation and provides relief for discomfort related to certain skin conditions.

Coconut oil is known for moisturizing dry skin, including in people with skin conditions such as eczema.

With ultra-gentle cleansing properties, Coco Glucoside is well-suited to all skin types and makes an ideal addition to mild formulations for natural products that are especially intended for sensitive skin.

Decyl glucoside is another mild cleansing agent and non-toxic, making it safe for skincare and personal care products that are used on all body parts and all skin types (including faces & newborn skin!)

Don't let the word "acid" scare you. Myristic acid belongs to the class of organic compounds known as long-chain fatty acids and is used as a surfacant & emulsifier in our lotions.

Derived from olive oil, it's a natural ester of skin-conditioning fatty acids containing nourishing phytocompounds to support healthy skin.

Guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride aids to increase the viscosity in some of our products.

An excellent emollient and emulsifier, shea butter protects against skin dryness and accelerates healing of superficial wounds and irritations. It has a slight photo-protective action and is rich in unsaturated fatty acids and Vitamin E.
